In DravidianArt you find south Indian traditional and heritage art form. Main aim is to showcase the bonding traditional art engraved within us for generations . Tanjavur Oviyam (Tanjore Painting) is an iconic art form of south India. Originated from the place Tanjavur in Tamil Nadu. In early days Tanjore paintings are started as murals on temple walls using natural dyes and the embossing are plated with real gold. Later it took an uplift with some fixed iconic pattern of the deity with big decorative golden arch fixed with precious stones and pure gold. To make the art accessible to everyone artists started to use wooden planks following the same procedure in small scale.
